The following two web sites may prove to be of interest to you.

http://www.tamu.edu/scip
The last site is the "Student Computing Information Page" which provides a one stop source of information about student computing on the A&M campus.

The course will consist of three writing projects; each one will be done twice. Once for the medium of paper, and the second for the electronic medium, i.e., the WEB. One of the projects must be a discussion about some aspect of mathematics, a second project must be about some area of science (this includes mathematics). The subject matter of the third project is your choice. All three projects must be approved by the instructor.

Each project will receive two grades, one for each medium, and each grade will have a maximum score of 100. Thus, the maximum number of points obtainable is 600. Your grade for the course will be determined as follows: 90% or better is an A, 80% to 89.9% a B, etc.

The due dates for each project are:

First Project:
Due by Friday, Oct. 3
Second Project:
Due by Friday, Nov. 7
Third Project:
Due by Friday, Dec. 12
I want you to submit an outline of your project at least two weeks before the project's due date. The outline should summarize what will be in the project and how it will be presented. This later part is particularly important for the web aspect of your project.

Some important dates this semester are:

Friday, Nov. 7: Last day to Q-drop. Thusday and Friday, Nov. 27-28: Thanksgiving holiday. Tuesday, Dec. 9: Last day of class.
