Graduate Credit Projects

The following links will take you to some projects which previous participants in our Ap-Calculus workshops created to satisfy one of the requirements necessary in order to receive graduate credit.

Janet Newton
Janet's project is about constructing models to help students visualize three dimensional solids, and how to find the volumes of these solids.

Patsy's project discusses how to find the volume of a pear.

Janet's project is about calculating average temperatures and air-conditioning costs.

Mark Lindberg
Mark's project has several worked out examples of optimization problems. In addition there are several exercises with hints and solutions supplied.

Karon O'Neal has devoloped a project which teaches how to calculate a limit from various viewpoints, which are tables of values, graphically, and analytically. The first link below takes you to sample worksheet, and the second link to a real worksheet
