Some last minute information about the Conference follows below. Please read all the details carefully.

TRANSPORTATION TO / FROM COLLEGE STATION AIRPORT

The taxi service in College Station is not very reliable, due to the small number of taxi's. This is why we have rented a van, will make rounds and will take the participants to their hotels on WEDNESDAY (starting at 2:00pm until the last flight) and to the airport on SUNDAY (several times during the day) and on MONDAY morning (until 12:00am). When you arrive at the airport please look for a person related to the Conference (the person will have a sign reading GROUPS AND DYNAMICS).

TRANSPORTATION TO / FROM HOTELS TO THE CONFERENCE CENTER

We expect most of the participants to walk the distance (it is about 35 minutes at a relaxed pace). We have over 130 participants and it is impossible to organize transportation for everybody (other than the plenary speakers). The directions are given here

PLEASE PREPARE SLIDES FOR YOUR TALKS

The main room (Rudder 301) that we will be using does not have a good blackboard (the room has a small blackboard for quick comments on the side, but do not count on it for the whole talk). We will have overhead transparency projectors as well as data projectors. In case you plan on giving a talk by using a data projector please bring your computer, but also have transparencies prepared just in case the technology does not work.

E-MAIL

All the hotels we will be using have free internet access, but you will need to bring your own laptop in order to use it.

LUNCH

While there are many good places to have lunch off-campus (see the map) they are all at least 10-15 minutes away from the conference center. Because of their proximity we recommend the following on-campus locations

1) MSC Cafeteria (Memorial Student Center, 1st floor, the very next building to the Conference Center). Serves lunch (cafeteria style) for about $7.00

2) 12th Man International in MSC (1st floor, next to the Cafeteria). Serves various sandwiches as well as Mexican and Asian food.

3) Sbisa Dinning Hall (see the map, 5 minutes to the North from the Conference Center). It serves a wide variety of food (all you can eat, dinning hall style) including salads, fruit, deserts, food, etc. The cost is about $7.00.

4) Food Court in MSC (basement). Serves fast food.

5) Rumours Cofee House and Deli in MSC.

DINNER on SATURDAY

We plan on having a Conference Dinner on Saturday, November 5, 6:30pm at Eccell (see the map at map). The cost of the dinner is $35.00 and we will collect the money during the registration. The sitting is limited, so please do not forget to place yourself on the list and pay for the dinner on Thursday morning in case you intend to come.

PROCEEDINGS

We are planning on having conference proceedings. Details will be provided later, but we encourage you to think of the possibility of submitting your work for publication. All the submissions will be going through a regular peer reviewing process.
