Some groups acting
on CAT(0) cube complexes

We will explain why a group acting properly cellularly and
with uniformly bounded stabilisors on a CAT(0) cube complex of finite
dimension cannot contain amenable subgroups of superpolynomial growth,
and discuss some related problems.
