Plane-filling
curves and self-similar groups
Volodymyr Nekrashevych of Texas A&M
University
A self-similar embedding of a contracting group into another
contracting group induces a continuous surjection of their limit
spaces. This can be used to define and to study different plane-filling
curves. We will interpret the original Peano curve and show how a
branch group can be constructed from the paper-folding procedure.
