Limit spaces and
C*-algebras

We will show how to reconstruct the limit space of a contracting
self-similar group (e.g. the Julia set of a post-critically
finite rational function) from the gauge action of the circle on the
associated Cuntz-Pimsner algebra. We will also discuss relation
of
the Cuntz-Pimsner algebras with the Ruelle algebras of the limit
solenoids.
