Generalized expanders

We study the class of expanders introduced by R. Tessera and compare
them with usual expanders. The extent to which non-coarse-embeddability
results apply in this setting will be considered. The general idea is
to try to use expanders to probe a space and see how they effect
approaches to the Novikov conjecture based on boundaries. This is joint
work with Lucas Sabalka.
