Representation og groups acting on rooted trees by triangular matrices

We will discuss a representation of the automorphism group of the
rooted binary tree by infinite unitriangular matrices over the
field of two elements. We will consider its restriction to some
self-similar groups: the adding machine, the Grigorchuk group, etc. The
talk presents a joint work with Y. Leonov and V. Sushchansky.
