MATH 222 - Linear Algebra

TEXTBOOK:Linear Algebra with Applications, 5th ed., by Leon

CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Linear equations and matrices; real vector spaces, linear transformations, change of bases, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, inner products.
Prerequisites: MATH 152 or MATH 172

This course is for math and science majors. A mixture of theory and applications will be presented.

The student should be able to verify that something is or is not a subspace or a linear transformation, and should be required to do elementary proofs.
