Catalog Description. Credit 3. Linear ordinary differential equations, solutions in series, solutions using Laplace transforms, systems of differential equaitons. Prerequisite: Math 251 (third semester of calculus).

Textbooks. Fundamentals of Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems by Nagle and Saff. It is intended to cover the chapters 1-7 and chapter12. We will also use Solving ODEs with Maple V for the laboratory component of the course.

Gradings. Course grades will be based on the following.
1) Midterm (20%). Date: Tuesday, Oct. 14
2) Weekly Quizzes (totally 25%) every Thursday. This quizzes are based on the weekly homework out of the textbook. There will not be any make-up quizzes, but the two lowest quiz-grades will be disregarded.
3) Homeworks and Projects (totally 25%), to be turned in Thursdays.
4) Final (30%). Date to be announced.
