Construction of the sin curve


The following animation may help you visualize the construction of the sin graph.

Recall that for a unit circle x = cos q and y = sin q, where q is the angle counterclockwise from the positive x-axis. Thus the height y of a point on the circle becomes the height of a point on the graph of y = sin q.
