Maple Syntax
To enter an answer using Maple Syntax you must:

Enter multiplication using a * and division using a /.

Enter exponents (powers) using a ^.

Remember that exponents ^ are computed before multiplication * and division / which are computed before addition + and subtraction -.

Use parenthesis ( ) to modify the order of operation, not square brackets [ ] or braces { }.

Use parenthesis ( ) to enclose the arguments of functions.

Use square brackets [ ] to indicate ordered lists such as points or vectors.
-
Use braces { } to indicate unordered lists such as sets.
Available Maple Functions:
- Absolute Value: abs
- Square Root: sqrt
- Exponential: exp
- Natural Logarithm: ln
- Trig Functions: sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, csc
- Inverse Trig Functions: arcsin, arccos, arctan, arccot, arcsec, arccsc
- Hyperbolic Trig Functions: sinh, cosh, tanh, coth, sech, csch
- Inverse Hyperbolic Trig Functions: arcsinh, arccosh, arctanh, arccoth, arcsech, arccsch
- and many more.
