Adjusting the Contrast

• To darken the screen, press and then press (or hold) the .

• to lighten the screen, press and then press (or hold) the .

Note: If the number in the upper right corner of the screen is a 7, 8 or 9 and the screen is still light, then the batteries need to be replaced.
It has been suggested to replace the batteries one at a time in the hope that no information will be lost. Sometimes this works. Sometimes it doesn't.
