Title: The Floer cohomology of a Dehn twist in a w+ monotone symplectic manifold

Abstract: In this talk I will talk about the fixed point Floer cohomology of a Dehn twist. Nowadays there are several methods to compute it, for example by using the Seidel exact triangle. Inspired by an early result of P. Seidel (1996) for twists on surfaces, I gave an explicit description of the Floer cohomology of a Dehn twist in terms of the Morse cohomology of some “sub-quotients” of M. After a quick refresher on Floer cohomology (in particular fixed point Floer cohomology) I will try to explain some of the techniques involved in constructing such an isomorphism: in particular the neck-stretching procedure and the energy filtration for CF^*, introduced by K. Ono in his paper about the Arnol’d conjecture. This work is a step in an ongoing project with T. Perutz in which we try to use the Seidel exact triangle to obtain some combinatorial formula for invariants for symplectic 4-manifolds.
