Description: Talk 2: Analysis and geometry of Dirichlet spaces Dirichlet spaces serve as a powerful abstract framework for constructing a unifying theory of Laplacians and heat kernels on general measure spaces. This theory can then be applied to propose notions of Ricci curvature lower bounds in singular settings like sub-Riemannian manifolds or fractal spaces. In the talk, we will review how those curvature bounds are defined and how they yield global geometric functional inequalities that help understand the structure of the underlying space.
