Qatar Positions

The Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University and The Science Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar invite applications for a faculty position in Applied Mathematics at our campus in Doha, Qatar (, starting Fall 2019. Specific rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) will be determined by experience.

Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) is a partnership with the Qatar Foundation. Now in its fifteenth year of operation, TAMUQ offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering, as well as a Masters in Chemical Engineering. The degree programs are identical to those of the main campus at College Station, Texas, and a Texas A&M University diploma is awarded to graduates.

Doha is the home of Education City (, a dedicated campus devoted to research and education. In addition to TAMUQ, Education City campus hosts other academic institutions including Weill Cornell Medical School, Carnegie-Mellon University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Northwestern University, University College London, and Georgetown University. As international institutions of higher learning, TAMUQ and its partners in Education City have significantly contributed to the development of post-secondary education and cultural growth in Qatar. TAMUQ does not grant tenure, but rather uses rolling contracts.

This position is in Doha, a Gulf State in the Middle East, and the successful candidate must relocate to Qatar.
