Magnetic Field in a Transformer

trafo

Below are some results for the magnetostatic problem

maxwell

with boundary conditions

bc

The domain is a transformer with iron core, where mu=10^3 and three coils, on the exterior two of which a rotation current f is applied. We set mu=0 and f=0 in the rest of the region.

The initial mesh was composed of tetrahedral elements and had 784 vertcies, 8302 faces and 4094 elements. The solution was computed after two levels of refinment.
