HTML

HTML is the HyperText Markup Language used to code information for display in a World-Wide Web browser. It shares the philosophy of logical markup with LaTeX.

The latest (and last) version of HTML is HTML 4.01. On January 26, 2000, a successor language XHTML 1.0 was released, and on May 31, 2001, a modularized version XHTML 1.1 was released. Web browsers are phasing in support for the sophisticated features of these languages, but be cautious if you use esoteric features.
