To save time and to avoid typing errors, you can copy selections from one window to another by using the mouse.
Under many standard graphical interfaces, you hold down the left mouse button and drag to highlight text. Then you move the mouse to another window and click the middle mouse button to paste text.
You may find that this technique does not work to paste text into a Maple window from another window. In that case, a solution is to open a terminal window and execute the command "xclipboard &" to open a clipboard window. You should be able to use the mouse to paste text onto the clipboard, and then you can select the text on the clipboard and paste it into a Maple window.
