Prerequisite: Math 152

Required Text: Steven J. Leon, Linear Algebra with Applications, 7th Edition, Prentice-Hall, Upper Saddle River, NJ, 2006 (ISBN: 0131857851)

Time & Place: MTWRF 12 noon - 1:35 pm, BLOC 160

Syllabus : The course covers all or part of Chapters 1-6 of Leon's book. See the Mathematics Department's syllabus for more details.

Grading System & Tests: Your grade will be based on five weekly 20-30 minute quizzes, homework, and a final exam (Tuesday, August 10, 1−3 pm). The quizzes will count for 50% of your grade, the homework for 15%, and the final examination will count for the remaining 35%. Your letter grade will be assigned this way: 90-100%, A; 80-89%, B; 70-79%, C; 60-69%, D; 59% or less, F.

Make-up Policy: I will give make-ups (or satisfactory equivalents) only in cases authorized under TAMU Regulations. In borderline cases, I will decide whether or not the excuse is authorized. Also, if you miss a test, contact me as soon as possible.

Homework and Quizzes: Homework will be collected two or three times per week. You may discuss homework problems with each other. However, all submitted work must be your own. Submitting the work of others is cheating. Late homework will not be accepted. However, if you miss an assignment for what I consider a legitimate reason, I will simply drop the grade from your score.
