Rref

rref([A]) will convert the matrix A to a matrix that is in reduced row echelon form.

First input the matrix into the calculator.

Now do the following from the home screen.

• Press
• Press so that the matrix math menu is highlighted as shown by this screen.

• Press until the choice B:rref( is found and then press
• Now enter the name of the matrix. see accessing a matrix on how to do this.
• Press

Note: The rref command will not give a valid result if the number of rows in the matrix is greater than the number of columns. New versions of the calculator will give you an invalid dimension error when the number of rows is greater than the number of columns.
