Mathematical learning theory  interfaces probability, approximation theory and numerical computation.  The purpose of this workshop is to bring together  the leading experts from these communities to  address their state of the art  and to also stimulate a   cross fertilization  between these areas directed at problems in learning.

Minorities, women, graduate students, and young researchers are especially encouraged to attend.

The venue for the conference is Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Points of interest include: the Bush Presidential Library, which is only one of half-dozen such libraries in the United States; the campus itself, which is one of the largest in the world; and several nearby sites of historic interest for Texans.
