If you are thinking about taking actuarial exams and becoming as actuary, you are probably in the APMS-Actuarial Science degree plan.

The Math Department of course has a required list of courses, together with the university core requirements. Once you add all the things you need for actuarial, careful planning is needed to fit it all in.

First of all, there are classes that are a good idea to take because they will help prepare for the actuarial exams, so these are a must:

VEE credits
Then there are classes you will want to take to meet what the Actuarial Society calls VEE credit. Here is the list of classes at A&M you are to take to satisfy the *current* VEE requirements (Note: You must earn a B or better in each):

Economics minor
Given all the courses needed to satisfy the VEE requirements and required as supporting electives for the APMS-Actuarial Science degree, many students opt to have an economics minor. You must take five classes to meet the requirements for a minor in cconomics:
