    We use symbolic computation to study sets of lines meeting k fixed lines that are tangent to 4-k spheres in R3, called common transversals and tangents.

    Besides the interesting geometry, computation, and pictures, the geometry in 3-space is a fertile area for potential applications of symbolic and computational algebra.
