Hotel reservations will be arranged and billed through the Mathematics Department. Please indicate on the registration form the dates for which you would you like to request a hotel room. Details of your reservation will be sent to the provided email address one or two weeks prior to the conference. Participants will be housed at the Vineyard Court [map], Hampton Inn [map], Quality Inn [map] and Motel 6 [Map]. Graduate students and postdocs should expect to share a room.
Participants staying at Hampton Inn are a 20 minute walk away from campus, and can also make use the hotel shuttle. Participants staying at the Vineyard court are a 30–40 minute walk away from campus, but can also take Route 22 ("Excel") of the university bus system. We will provide shuttle buses for participants staying at Quality Inn and Motel 6.
Texas A&M University is located in College Station, Texas, which by automobile lies about 1 hour and 45 minutes northwest of Houston, 1 hour and 45 minutes east of Austin, and 3 hours south of Dallas. Easterwood Airport in College Station is served by American Airlines (connecting to Dallas) and United Airlines (connecting to Houston). There is also a shuttle service from Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport in Houston. Because of NSF regulations, participants applying for support are kindly requested to use US flag carriers for all their flights, if at all possible, to enable reimbursement.
The conference will take place on the Texas A&M University campus. On Wednesday, April 30, Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2, the conference will take place in the Blocker Building, Room 166. On Saturday, May 3, the conference will instead take place next door in the Mitchell Physics Building, Room 205. Parking options: Northside Garage, Northgate Garage.
