The Polygon Differencing Problem
- Pick a regular polygon (eg a square) and put a non-negative integer
at each vertex.
- Put the differences at the midpoint of each side.
- If you connect the midpoints, you have a new polygon with a
non-negative integer at each vertex.
- Repeat this process. What are the final states?
