  • dir_field_ch1.m: plotting the direction field of a simple linear equation, approximate Euler solutions,
  • contour_implicit_2_2_10.m: using contour plot to determine the region of validity of an (implicit) solution
  • resonance_and_beats.m: resonance response function and beats in the driven oscillator with no damping.
  • Matlab program for plotting the direction field and approximate solutions of a 2x2 linear system, sys2x2_DF_sol.m. Open it in the editor and run using cell mode buttons.
  • Matlab function file for ploting a phase portrait of a linear 2-systems: pport.m. Also a script file to animate the phase protrait for a parameter-dependent matrix animate_pport.m.
  • An example of plotting the direction field and approximate solutions of a 2x2 nonlinear system, sys2x2_DF_sol_nlin.m.

Homework

Whenever a plot is asked for, you can either submit a printout of a computer-generated plot (software of your choice) or sketch a plot by hand.
