Title: Spectral approximations of noncommutative spaces
Abstract: A spectral triple (A,H,D) is an operator theoretic generalization of the notion of space, which consists of a Hilbert space H and *-subalgebra A of B(H) and a self adjoint unbounded operator D. We discuss how to recover K-theoretic information of a spectral triple when we restrict it to finite dimensional spectral projections of D. I will give a brief introduction of noncommutative geometry and K-theory.
