Title: Geometry and decay estimates in quantum information theory

Abstract: Decay estimates are central to several problems in quantum information theory. In this talk we will consider dynamical systems on state spaces and relate decay estimates to geometric properties of the generating Lindblad operator. In this analysis we follow the work of Carlen and Mass on entropy estimates and combine it with tools from noncommutative geometry. This is joint work with Li Gao, Haojian Li, and Nick LaRacuente.
