Title: Random tensors and symmetry
Abstract: I will motivate the study of representation theory (the systematic study of symmetry in linear algebra) for its uses in the study of random tensors. I will begin with a brief overview of Shannon's noiseless channel theorem and its quantum cousin. I'll then explain relations between quantum typical subspaces and representation theory. This will be a series of 2-3 lectures.
