Title: Electrochemical deposition morphology

Abstract: A current hot topic in chemical and material engineering is the study of electrochemical deposition morphology in Lithium and Zinc ion batteries. The main purpose is to find mechanisms for the creation of a flat surface growth on the Cathode, delaying the growth of an arm structures hindering the batteries life span. In this talk we begin by showing some experimental results which isolate a few key control parameters. We will discuss two of these parameters, the external potential and the charge transfer rate. Moreover, in the homogeneous growth regime, corresponding to low potential and fast charge transfer rate, we give exact growth bounds in a cylindrical geometry.
