Title: Lamplighters and the bounded cohomology of Thompson's groups

Abstract: We first recall why bounded cohomology is relevant to amenability questions. Then we answer a question of Grigorchuk by showing that Thompson's group F has no bounded cohomology (for many coefficients). The proof relies on a method that can be applied to many other groups, including lamplighters and "large" transformation groups.
