Title: Topological Quantum Computation
Abstract: Quantum computation is a catch-all for computational models based upon the (theoretical) ability to create, manipulate and measure quantum systems. There are two main directions being pursued: the quantum circuit (qubit) model and the topological model. I will give an overview of these approaches, emphasizing the less-familiar topological model.
