Title: Schubert calculus of (some) Hessenberg varieties

Abstract: Hessenberg varieties are a large family of subvarieties of flag varieties G/B that depend on two parameters: a subspace of the Lie algebra, and an element of that Lie algebra. By fixing a particular subsapce, element, or both, we can get special subfamilies like Springer varieties, regular nilpotent Hesseberg varieties, or Peterson varieties, respectively. This talk will explain how we can, to varying extents, do (equivariant) Schubert calculus with these varieties, and present classes and structure constants for (equivariant) cohomology of the Peterson variety.
