Title: Noncommutative geometry of q-deformations

Abstract: I will review what is known about noncommutative geometry of the q-deformations of compact semisimple Lie groups and their homogeneous spaces. In particular, I will explain a construction of a Dirac operator on the former quantum spaces. A significant part of the talk will probably be spent on introducing Drinfeld’s associator in the analytic setting, which is a remarkable family of unitary operators on the triple tensor products of representations of compact semisimple Lie groups.
